Hello everyone, I state that I don't know Smart store, I usually use WordPress, but a customer with Smartstore 4.2 installed on Windows server and MSSQL asked me to update his site and bring it to version 5.1 on ubuntu and MySQL.
The site has a personalized themes (in 4.2 version of smartstore).

I’ve alteady prepared a Unix VPS with MySQL and smartstore version 5.1.

How can I proceed with the migration? I’ve a MSSQL backup and the AppData folder.
If I migrate the Thiene, for exemple, i obtain tue error you can see on http://vps-b6f6c196.vps.ovh.net/

Hello Enrico,

 

unfortunately a migration from MS SQL Server to MySql is not possible. You would also have to use MS SQL Server under Linux.

Not a big problem, I'll install MSSQL on my Unix VPS.

For the database migration, it is clear to me, while for the data to be migrated at the file level, what should I move? The "AppData" folder only? I see that the theme, for example, is not within that folder.

yes, the APP-DATA folder is sufficient, but of course you have to modify the settings.txt.

Where is the setting.txt setting that you tell me in previous answer?

Settings.txt is located in ~\App_Data\Tenants\Default.

Since smartstore is a NET application, it must be started.

You can either do this via the command line (not recommended) or you can set it up as a service:

Now, after some mods it redirect me on the original site.
I've modified the "Store" table in the DB changing "biovale.eu" with "vps-b6f6c196.vps.ovh.net" but nothing change..it redirect me on biovale.eu

Have you also deleted the secureurl in the store table and switched off SSL?

The entry is OK.

Can you please look in the Modules folder to see if the UrlRewriter is there.
Otherwise I would check the appsettings.json and the web.config in the webroot.
Have you changed anything in the NGINX configuration? Does it say biovale.eu somewhere as the host?

I can't find anything.

The site worked normally before the DB import, so I believe that the problem is on the imported DB..but where??

Step by step:

1. Preparing VPS Unix following this guide and installing MSSQL Server (not MySQL)
2. Copying in /var/www/htlmApp_Data/Tenants/Default the files present in the Windows installation

3. Import DB from database.bck and change the store fields with new links
