How do I send a newsletter

I am new to this system. How do I send a newsletter? 

Go to Promotions > Campaigns in backend, create a campaign, preview/test it, click Send to sent it to all subscribed users.

It says it is Queued, so how do I get it to send?  

This is done automatically by the QueuedMessagesSendTask, by default every minute. You can also start the task manually via the task list.

A Mail Account has to be configured, too.

If there isn't one, you will find that emails aren't being sent to your store customers and are queued up instead! You can easily check the list of unsent mails (the "mail queue") from within the Smartstore admin backend.
