I am looking for a way to give someone access to Admin but let them only see Customers and Orders nothing else.  I can't see a way to remove all of the sub-menu items except for the one I want from a menu.  Any thoughts or examples.

Hello, this is built into Smartstore and works from the community edition. The way is through the extended rights management. And customer groups.

 

First of all, you create a new customer group, which you may name "Admin limited". You can now take away specific rights from this customer group. Jjust try what suits you. So you can only assign them read rights for Customer Date and Read rights for Orders.

 

Once you have done this, you can simply assign the desired shop customer to this new customer group, which is then a limited admin. He has a new admin menu on this login. Menu items for them are added / removed automatically in their admin backend.
