hi

 

i followed the instructions for the upgrade from 5.0.0 to 50.0.2

 

i downloaded Smartstore.Community.5.0.2.win-x86 and unzipped it on my local machine

 

i stopped the current website v.0.0 and its app pool 

 

deleted all but app_data and www folder

 

 

via ftp uploaded all files folder except app_data nd www from the version 5.0.2 

 

started the website and the app  pool

 

get the attched file error

 

 

 

 

the host company says its from the code??

 

Any suggestions???

 

I have been back and forthe with them for 2 days on trying to get an upgrade to work  

 

tried lean install and then copy just the app_data , wwwroot folders and restore from v5.0.0 db  nothing works

all files of the 5.0.2 version must be copied over and existing files must be overwritten.

I uploaded the last 2 folders app_data and wwwroot 

 

still same error ??

 

my mistake seems although ftp filezilla set to overwrite its not doing it

that's why it says in the instructions that you should stop the AppPool before.

Hello,

 

was the procedure really as described below?

 

1. in a 5.0 store working without problems, all files / directories were deleted except the directories AppData and wwwroot.

 

2. the current 5.0.2 version was downloaded from the following link, unpacked and all files / directories were copied into the store installation directory. During the file transfer all files were really overwritten and there were no problems e.g. with Filezilla.

Should there still be problems, try a 5.0.2 reinstallation.

the host support said i should download the 86 package?? 

 

 

you say "store installation directory" thats the same directory that the app_data and wwwroot are in?

followed your instructions.. 

 

did the Unzip of the linked file (x64) via thewebhotcontrol panel .. I now get

 

HTTP Error 500.32 - Failed to load .NET Core host

 

I am goin in circles with this.. Every attempt i do either gets me the load error or the internal server error sometimes out of process error

 

 

is it possible there is a bug when upgrading a multistore?????

how can i do a reinstallation of 5.0.2  and keep the data from from my old store (its a multistore install)

Hello,

 

did you not do any store backups before the updates?

You should also know if you need the x64 or x86 version for your hosting.

I guess everything has been mixed up in the meantime. 

What happens if you do a completely new 5.02 installation?

The error 500.32 indicates that either the wrong core version was installed or the AppPool is not set to 64-bit.

However, you already had a 5 store installed. Then the error message should not occur.

my situation is now that i have a clean 5.0.2 working store. How can i take the data ,images etc from the backup zip of the working 5.0.0 site and import them to the 5.0.2 site?

Hello,

 

as already written several times, mixing of different versions is not possible.

 

You could import the product data if you still have an export from the 5.0 version.

I managed to copy the app_data and wwwroot from the old backup to store5.0.2  and then i reuploaded  the app_data and wwwroot folders from the clean install 

 

it worked nicely except that for some reason the menus from the version 5.0 caused duplicate key error.. when i deleted the custom menus both stores loaded with all products and categories and images working fine
