Hide the currency drop down

Best Answer Marcus Gesing , 08 April 2021 - 10:51

The currency drop down in the frontend is automatically hidden if only one currency is published.
So something is tempting your shop to believe that there is more than one published currency.

If only one published currency appears in the backend list, then there may be something wrong with the raw data, e.g. a missing or duplicate currency code. In that case, I would check the data table "Currency" and correct it there if necessary. Probably a shop restart required.

The primary currency of the shop is the one in which the currency values are entered, i.e. the one of all currency values in the database.
Since you only have one currency, you can ignore it. It is specified in the Configuration > Shop, but we will change this in a future version
because it has to be unique across all shops in an installation.

I only allow one currency on my site.  Is there a setting to hide that drop down?  Also, it appears that currencies that are not published show up in the drop down, which I find odd.  Lastly, what is the "Primary Currency" label for and how would I change it?

This is in 4.1

Thanks
