Store URL: https://www.storedomain.com/

Host Values: www.storedomain.com,storedomain.com

Secure URL: https://www.storedomain.com

SSL: On

Always use SSL: On

 

I've tried restarting it in IIS, but it always strips the www.

I don't actually have any rules in my web.config file. Is there a mechanism in the code that does this?

Yes: Configuration > Settings > General... > SEO settings > Canonical host name rule.
