Good day team,

 

How do I re-stock product in SmartStore? For example, if I have 100 gowns in store. After 3 days, 70 was sold, remaining 30. If at this point, I want to add 50 more gowns to the existing 30 in the store, how do I do this and still keep tracking inventory in SmartStore? Do I change Stock Quantity (Inventory tab of Product Edit page)to 80? or which way is the correct way of doing this in SmartStore. Please point me in the right direction.

Yes, that's the correct way if the inventory method is set to "Track inventory". If it is set to "Track inventory by product attributes" you have to change the stock quantity of the attribute combination(s).

Hello team,

 

Please how does SmartStore keep history of Stock Quantity or other field changes? Also changes that is made in Shipping rate computation methods (for Fixed rate shipping, Shipping by weight or Shipping by total). How does SmartStore keep history of these changes for future reference?

There is no log or history of value changes such as stock quantity.

 

If you are a developer, you can easily do this by using hooks. Here are some examples.
