Using a GoDaddy hosted email account(s), I have not been able to successfully configure an email within SmartStore. (Yes, username and password are correct).

 

Below are settings for manually configuring email client from GoDaddy. No combinations of field inputs seems to work. What am I missing? I've seen others with this problem posting in the forum but usually they've just incorrectly entered something. I have carefully checked every field and made sure my information is totally correct.

We do not have any firewalls blocking access.

Host:   relay-hosting.secureserver.net  
Port:   25
Enable SSL: not checked

Unfortunately the "relay-hosting.secureserver.net" host and port "25" did not work either.

I tried another domain (other than GoDaddy) and I received this error:

Ok, it is clear after conferring with my tech support that it is not a problem with SmarStore. It is an issue with poor GoDaddy email server. First error is a timeout because when I initiate test email, there is a 10 second delay (approx.).

 

My question is, can I adjust a setting for email delay with SmartStore? Can it be found in the libraries (could not find setting in database/tables)? Or is it hardcoded? There should be a setting for this.

the smtp-timeout is hard coded (10 s)  and can be changed in the SmartStore.Core project in the SmtpContext-class:

Yes, there is definitely issue with this. I have same problem. Same error message.
