Smartstore has a demoshop this shop is quick very quick I installed the demoshop also on my own server this is not so quick as the demo shop.

 

Is the database of demo shop working with a  MSSQL server or another database

 

I have VPS server hosted by Strato 4 cpu cores 4 giga ram and SSD/HDD disk is this to slow or do I have to change settings

Hello Hans,

 

we use always SQL Server and recommend to use at least SQL Server Express . The SQL Server Compact Edition is OK for testing.

 

If you enter the correct Store URL in Backend -> Configuration -> Stores your store will not go in sleep mode.

if it is shared hosting probably of ram alloced your domain. it is working slow as long as your ram limit under 256 mb.

i recommend minimum 500 mb ram for your domain.
