Hi guys,

After seeing all the great improvements listed in v2.1, I went ahead and upgraded from v2.0.2.  I simply replaced the entire application directory with the new version's root folder, then copied over Media and App_Data folders from my old directory (as instructed).

The solution (full version) builds fine in vs2012, but when I first tried to load the site in a browser I was getting an error when trying to locate version 5.6.0 of Microsoft.Data.Edm.  I managed to fix this by adding an assembly reference to the new version (5.6.1) in the SmartStore.Web project, and the problem is now fixed.  I don't know if this was just a problem on my machine, but I thought you should probably know about it.

The website now loads and functions correctly...BUT...I'm missing all my images!  Looking through the logs, I see things like:

Path '/Media/Thumbs/0002/0002147.png' was not found.

But the file definitely exists in my Media folder (with exactly the same path and file name).  I have tried switching my media data storage from database to filesystem (and back again), but the problem is the same.

Are you aware of this issue?  Could it be permission related?  Any suggestions?

I've just fixed this!...

The Media directory in v2.1 now contains a Web.config file, and since I just copied my old Media folder from my v2.0.2 installation, this was missing.

It'd be useful to include this information in the upgrade notes.

Thanks for you help.

But the Media folder in our clean distribution package already contains the Web.config file. So I guess you didn't copy the original folder to your target  ;) However, glad to hear that it works now.
