Howdy.. first post.. enjoying SmartStore very much so far!

Wondering how order workflow is intended to work. I know of the smartstore.codeplex.com site but no usage docs are there. Perhaps a pointer to english usage docs would help here?

In a nutshell, i am used to having a order with a status drop down. I used that to flip a new order to the processing state, then to the shipped state etc. It was quite straightforward. I am not seeing what i need to do in smartstore to process properly.

Thanks for pointers.. drew..

Nothing. You do not need to set the order state manually. That's done automatically in context of further action.
Initially incoming orders are "Pending". It is set to "Processing" in two cases, a) the payment is authorized or paid
or b) the sipping status changed to shipped, partially shipped or delivered. It is set to "Complete" when
it is paid and delivered and to "Cancelled" of course when you cancel the order.

Thank you Marcus.. i am getting the hang of it after a few initial orders. I see it better now. Every system takes a bit of time to get the hang of. Are there any use-oriented docs that i can latch onto?

At the moment the only available documentation is the one at Codeplex.

Thanks again Marcus, tis a shame about docs, as this is an amazing package, and usage docs would hugely help it being adopted. Case-in-point, if i am to build a site for a client and use this, i will then be responsible for training and explaining it all to them. That is not what i am interested in. I suspect many devs like myself are the same. Perhaps each of us is repeating the same efforts over and over with this area.
